John Gosling, Managing Director

Intro:

Attended local schools in Portsmouth and went on to Highbury College to Study Construction.

Started my working career in the construction industry by completing an apprenticeship as a carpenter. I very soon on completion of the apprentice went on to be trained in construction management and worked for both Wilcon Homes and Charles Church for some 8 years.
During the recession of the early 90’s my career path changed direction and I joined local waste management company H T Hughes.

H T Hughes was taken over by Leigh Environmental who in turn became Veolia during a 12 year employment I managed and gained experience within their various departments from quarry, Landfill, transport, transfer stations, composting, special projects and recycling centres.

During my time at Veolia, I qualified to Level 4 WAMITAB certificate of competence in Hazardous and clinical waste landfills and Hazardous Transfer Stations and treatment operations. Qualified and became a member of the Institute of leadership and Management

Also undertook qualifications and training within Management of Health and Safety, Safety awareness, Mines and quarries legislation, Management appraisal, Employment Law, Waste related legalisation, Duty of care, Control of substances hazardous to health, Permits to work, Gas monitoring, Advanced waste management, Hazardous Waste Regulations, transport regulations, working time directive regulations.

In 2001 I joined T J as General Manager and was promoted to the board in 2004.
