apprentICEships

We’re always keen to welcome new team members and apprenticeships provide the perfect opportunity for us to create roles for young people to get them into the world of work.

Apprenticeships allow new recruits to receive extensive on the job training whilst also gaining valuable qualifications that will look great on their CV.

We recently welcomed a new apprentice into our Waste division into the role of Business Operations Assistant. This role has been created to support the current operations team, with a view for the role to develop in line with the apprentice’s strengths and preferences.

This advanced apprenticeship is expected to take around 15 months to complete, with the academic side being delivered by Havant and South Downs College. The apprentice will spend one day a week off-site in a college training environment with the rest of their time being spent in the workplace, learning on the job.

Our friendly and experienced team will provide guidance, support and assistance to any apprentices taken on, and their line manager will also support and monitor them to ensure they are happy and comfortable in the role and receiving help as and when needed.

Over the years, we have supported several apprenticeship positions within the company. Apprenticeships are a great way of taking on new staff in a cost-effective way, ensuring that they receive the correct formal training as well as specific, specialised training for the role they’ve been employed to do.
